汉娜Twaddell has 33 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, with an emphasis on promoting sustainable, 公平的, vibrant communities by integrating transportation and land use to achieve economic, 社会, and environmental goals.

Following a 13-year tenure with the Metropolitan Planning Organization in her home community of Charlottesville, 维吉尼亚州, Hannah was a consultant planner, 主持人, and educator for local, 状态, and national agencies for the past 20 years. She has led numerous research studies and written guidebooks for the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA), National Cooperative Highway 研究 Program, Transit Cooperative 研究 Program(TCRP), AARP, and 状态 departments of transportation, including the recently published “TCRP Report 214: Guide to Equity Analysis in Regional 运输 Planning Processes”; the FHWA report “环境al Justice Analysis in 运输 Planning and Programming State of Practice 研究”; and a new chapter in the Caltrans Smart Mobility Implementation Framework on addressing equity.

Hannah also developed and taught National Highway Institute courses; published more than 40 articles; and created training resources on topics such as 公平的 accessibility, pedestrian and bicycle planning, multimodal connectivity, travel demand management, context-sensitive solutions, mobility for persons with disabilities and older adults, 情景规划, 公众参与, 和展望.

She co-chairs the 运输 研究 Board (TRB) Committee AEP15, 运输 Planning, Analysis and Applications, actively supports committees on Public Involvement and Equity in 运输, and served on the planning committee for the TRB American Association of State Highway and 运输 Officials 2019 national conference on Performance and Data in 运输 Decision Making.
